Standard blade tines
Our standard blade tines offer excellent value for money and are ideal for low-wear soils. Made from specially hardened and correspondingly wear-resistant steel, these tines are particularly suitable for farms with manageable operating hours. The advantage: low purchase costs with reliable performance.
Hard-faced blade tines
Our hard-faced blade tines are additionally coated with a chromium carbide wear layer in the wear area. Chromium carbide is a ceramic, very hard and corrosion-resistant compound that significantly extends the service life compared to steel tines. The advantage here: fewer replacement intervals and less downtime than with standard blade tines.
Carbide blade tines
Carbide blade tines offer maximum wear resistance, maximum service life and a truly consistent quality of work due to minimal length wear, even under extreme conditions. The individual carbide plates are securely embedded in a special v-shaped groove in the tine to prevent damage or loss of these plates, even when working in stony conditions.
They are ideal for abrasive soils, high area outputs and intensive use. The advantage of these tines is maximum economy due to extremely long replacement intervals with very long operating times. The price-performance ratio is significantly higher than with hard-faced blade tines.

What the direct comparison shows in everyday working life
Farmer Herber knows his land in the Hunsrück region very well: stony, weathered limestone soils, changing soil points and conditions that challenge both man and machine. That's exactly why he wanted to find out and used his Zirkon 12/600K to make a direct comparison between our steel and carbide blade tines in his fields.
Even during the first operations, he noticed how smoothly the machine ran, even with the carbide blade tines. Stones were passed safely, the soil flow remained constant even under these conditions and even with intensive stone contact, there was no breakage or damage to the carbide blades. What particularly counted for him in everyday use was that the carbide plates embedded in a V-shaped groove in the tine did not require any increasing tractive force and, compared to the steel tine, no frequent readjustment of the working depth was necessary - a single adjustment was sufficient for 550 ha.
The positive impression was confirmed with increasing area output. Length wear remained extremely low at just 1.54 cm . In the end, around 1,200 ha were used - more than farmer Herber had originally expected. One thing is clear to him: the long service life of the LEMKEN carbide blade tines saves time and money, reduces downtime and provides real relief in day-to-day work.
