Solitair 8+
Favourable and precise
The Solitair 8+ pneumatic with working widths from 3 to 4 metres are combinable with the Zirkon 12 power harrow or Heliodor compact disc harrows and can be used for many tillage methods. The proven double disc coulter with depth control wheel ensures precise seed placement. With the mechanical drive of the metering system it is ideal for small and medium-sized farms that want to utilise precise pneumatic seeding technology at reduced cost.
The highlights of the Solitair 8+
The hopper
The Solitair 8+ is available with a volume of 1,450 or 1,850 litres. The funnel-shaped hopper leaves only small technical residues. The easy access and large opening facilitate filling and inspection.
Residual quantities can be emptied easily using the discharge slide on the seed hopper. Smaller residual quantities can be easily removed via the calibration mould.
The fold-up step provides easy access to the calibration trough.
Everything for precise sowing
The drive, metering system, seed distributor and double disc coulters are easy to adjust and optimally coordinated for perfect placement quality.
The fan is hydraulically driven and the fan speed can be steplessly adjusted. The oil requirement is only 20.4 litres/min. The desired speed is achieved even at low tractor engine speeds. Fluctuations in the tractor engine speed have no influence on the fan speed. Uniform seed delivery is always guaranteed.
The 6-part cellular wheels can be activated and deactivated as required for sowing different types of seeds. As a result, the seeding shaft does not need to be replaced when switching between seeds. The adjustment of the volume and speed always ensures a uniform flow of seed. The Solitair is equipped with two or four metering units depending on the working width.
The seed distributors are located outside the seed hopper, directly above the coulter bar. The seeding hoses running from the distributor to the coulter are of equal length to ensure precise seed distribution. The continuous gradient of the seeding hoses prevents blockages. The distributor can be easily opened for inspection. Spelt distributors are optionally available for sowing spelt.
The independent adjustment of sowing depth and coulter pressure is a guarantee for precise seed placement, especially on different soils. The position of the pressure wheel to the double disc coulter and thus the placement depth can be easily changed by turning the seed bar via two spindles.
On the Solitair, up to 2 x 5 seed pipes can be equipped with tramline mechanisms to lay individual tramlines. The automatic swivelling of the tramline flaps maintains constant air pressure in the system. Uniform seed distribution is also ensured with switched tramlines. When laying tramlines, seeds are returned to the seed hopper.
Each metering unit can be individually switched on and off mechanically. This ensures that remaining areas can be drilled without major overlaps.
The mechanical drive
The metering system is driven by a star wheel and a maintenance-free cardan shaft.
- This ensures a smooth drive of the cell wheels in the metering unit.
- The star wheel runs within the working width of the device and thus always ensures an even drive.
- After work, the star wheel can be folded in without tools using a handle.
The transmission
The continuously variable oil bath transmission allows seeding rates to be set precisely between 0.5 and 500 kg/ha. It covers the entire working width - without additional adjustment in the drive area.
- The fine scale graduation from 0 to 150 guarantees the necessary precision.
- The seeding shaft operates smoothly to ensure accurate longitudinal distribution of the seeds. This is particularly important when working with small seeding rates and a slowly rotating seeding shaft.
The EcoDrill control unit
With the EcoDrill control on the LET-40 terminal, the Solitair 8+ can be easily set and operated during work. The clear layout means that all important parameters are always in view.
- Detailed calibration aids in the EcoDrill control unit make other aids superfluous.
- The LET-40 terminal can be plugged in at the back of the Solitair 8+ for calibration, which makes the calibration test much easier.
