Double disc coulter with mechanical coulter pressure adjustment
LEMKEN’s Compact-Solitair now also with Optidisc M
LEMKEN's Compact-Solitair tillage combination reliably provides outstanding efficiency and high-precision seed placement by combining a soil cultivation implement with a large seed hopper and Optidisc double disc coulters. LEMKEN now offers a new Optidisc coulter version with mechanical coulter pressure adjustment in order to provide farmers with a cost-effective entry-level solution.
The parallelogram-guided Optidisc double disc coulters in the Compact-Solitair consistently and precisely place seeds at constant depths, even with changing soil conditions and at high speeds of travel, as coulter pressure and seeding depth are adjusted independently. A depth control roller, behind the coulter, ensures consistent depth control, and presses down seeds for optimum soil contact. The disc supports are suspended on rubber suspension bearings with good damping properties for high durability and long service life.
The Optidisc M coulters feature six levels of mechanical coulter pressure adjustment with a maximum coulter pressure of 45 kilograms, whereas previous Optidisc coulters were only available with hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment. Adjustments are made directly and easily on the coulter via a locking lever and a screw.
