The EIMA Mention Award goes to the Steketee IC Weeder AI
After the Steketee IC Weeder AI was already awarded the FARM MACHINE 2022 in the category "Mechanical Weed Control" in March, the hoeing machine can now convince again. The artificial intelligence is awarded the EIMA Mention Award 2022. An award of the third largest agricultural technology trade fair in Europe, which is all about innovative technology.
The artificial intelligence of the IC Weeder AI was particularly decisive for the award. The underlying algorithm calculates the exact plant position on the basis of colour profile, texture, shape, size and leaf position, and the hoeing machine can independently distinguish between crop and weed. This means that even in sown crops and with a high weed population, it is possible to hoe precisely between the rows as well as in the row.
