Practical Trial
Azurit in a practial trial
In a practical trial in cooperation with the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, the DeltaRow method showed its advantages over a conventional single-row sowing system, which was set up with a competitor's machine. This concerns the yield, the net energy lactation (NEL), the convertible energy (ME) and the gas yield.
The trial
- One-year trial since sping 2020
- Borken (North Rhine-Westphalia)
- Maize plots measuring 6 x 170 metres
- 5 replicates
- seed rates of 7,8 and 9 grains per square metre
- Sowing methods: Single row and DeltaRow seeding
- Tillage, variety, sowing and harvesting time were identical in all variants
Earnings per hectare in KG at 33 % TS
The yield per hectare could be increased by up to 4,5 %.
Net Energy Lactation (NEL) in MJ per hectare
The net energy lactation, which is important for the use as animal feed, was improved by up to 8.2 % more MJ NEL per hectare.
Convertible energy (ME) in MJ per hectare
For the total usable energy (metabolic energy), an increase of up to 7.9 % more ME MJ per hectare was recorded.
Gas yield in m³ per hectare
The gas yield, which is important for efficient energy use, was improved by up to 5.4 % more m³ per hectare.
