New Head of Design
Klemens Surmann will take up the newly created position of Head of Design with LEMKEN, the agricultural machine specialist, at the company's headquarters in Alpen on 1 December 2014. Mr Surmann (49) qualified as a metalworker before graduating in mechanical engineering from Bochum University in Germany. He then worked for Geringhoff GmbH, a manufacturer of harvest headers, initially in design and later in executive positions. Mr Surmann contributes extensive experience, both in agricultural machinery and in working successfully within the structures of a medium-sized family business.
LEMKEN's new Head of Design will report directly to the Head of Development. He will be responsible for the design activities regarding all LEMKEN product groups and manage five product teams with over 30 designers. Our Development department, which is managed by Gottfried Giesen, has grown dynamically in recent years and currently employs over 100 staff.
